BHARATPUR. The Bharatpur police force has intensified its efforts to curb criminal activities across the district, executing a series of coordinated operations under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Meena. These strategic actions have led to the arrest of five individuals and the detention of two minors involved in various offenses, including theft, physical assault, and illegal betting operations.

In a significant move against gambling, authorities conducted raids across the Mathura Gate, Bayana Kotwali, and Rupwas police station areas. Officers successfully apprehended three individuals engaged in illicit betting, seizing a total of 19,520 rupees in cash along with various gambling apparatus. The suspects, identified as Virendra Singh, Praveen, and Dilip, were caught red-handed while facilitating bets in their respective jurisdictions.

The police also addressed property crimes, specifically targeting recent thefts. In the Rudawal area, two suspects named Saurabh and Gaurav were taken into custody following a complaint filed by Sunita Devi regarding the theft of computer equipment and gas cylinders from a local Indira Rasoi facility. The investigation into this incident remains ongoing as authorities work to recover the stolen assets.

Furthermore, law enforcement addressed a violent incident in the Khanua village area. Farman, a suspect wanted in connection with a physical assault case reported on September 18, 2026, was finally apprehended. The complainant, Subrati, had previously alleged that the suspect and his associates used sticks to inflict injuries on his family members.

In a separate development concerning vehicle theft, local police in the Chiksaana area detained two minors in connection with a motorcycle theft reported in mid-September. The authorities are currently processing the case in accordance with juvenile justice protocols. Superintendent Meena emphasized that these operations are part of a broader, ongoing campaign to maintain public order and ensure that those involved in antisocial activities are held accountable for their actions.
