Acting under the direct supervision of Superintendent of Police Sharan Gopinath K., law enforcement officials targeted illegal liquor distribution and organized gambling dens, resulting in the arrest of six suspects.
The first operation took place in the Sikri police station area, where a joint team of local police and the Quick Response Team apprehended 28-year-old Bhagwansingh. A case has been registered against the individual under the Excise Act.
Simultaneously, the Brijnagar police and the District Special Team conducted a raid near the Shani Temple on Kathumar Road following a tip-off. Four individuals, identified as Rashid Khan, Kanhaiya, Lekhraj, and Yogesh Kumar, were caught red-handed while gambling in a public space. Police confiscated a deck of playing cards and 10,700 rupees in cash that had been placed as stakes. The accused now face charges under the Rajasthan Public Gambling Ordinance and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
In a third operation, the Nagar police and the District Special Team targeted illegal sales in Thoon village. They arrested 26-year-old Raju Singh after discovering him selling unauthorized alcohol in front of local shops. During the search, officers recovered 51 packets of orange-flavored vodka. The district administration has reiterated that these enforcement efforts are part of a broader, sustained strategy to eliminate anti-social elements involved in illegal trade and betting.
