Govindgarh Police Conduct Awareness Drive on Women Safety and Legal Rights

JAIPUR. In accordance with the directives issued by the Rajasthan Police Headquarters, the Govindgarh police station has actively participated in the ongoing Women Safety Resolution Awareness Campaign. This initiative, which spans from July 1 to July 29, 2026, aims to empower women and students with essential knowledge regarding their legal rights and personal safety protocols.

During a special session held at the Government Girls College, police personnel Phoolmati, bearing badge number 1312, addressed the students. She provided detailed information about the latest legal frameworks and the significance of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The session was designed to ensure that young women are well-versed in the legal protections available to them in various challenging situations.

A significant portion of the presentation focused on emergency response mechanisms. Students were briefed on the utility of various dedicated helplines, including the women's helpline 1990, the cybercrime reporting line 1930, and the child protection service 1998. Furthermore, the importance of the universal emergency numbers 100 and 112 was emphasized to ensure rapid assistance during critical incidents.

Beyond legal awareness, the outreach program included practical training on self-defense techniques. Phoolmati demonstrated various maneuvers that students can employ to protect themselves in times of danger. These physical safety tips were complemented by a digital safety component, where attendees were taught how to identify and prevent cyber fraud, a growing concern in the modern era.

To facilitate better connectivity with law enforcement, the students were guided through the process of downloading and utilizing the RajCop Citizen application. By explaining the features of this digital tool, the police aimed to bridge the gap between citizens and the department, ensuring that help is just a few clicks away. The event concluded with an interactive session where students were encouraged to remain vigilant and proactive in their personal safety.
