Karauli. Preparations for the state-level Rajput mass wedding ceremony, scheduled for November 20 on the auspicious occasion of Dev Uthani Ekadashi, have gained significant momentum in Karauli. As the event approaches, representatives from the Shri Rajput Sabha are actively engaging with community leaders and philanthropists to ensure the success of this major social gathering.
During a recent outreach visit to the Badalpur Sarkar Magadhray Bhawan in Shikarganj, a delegation from the Sabha met with Thakur Vinod Singh, a devoted follower of the local deity Magadhray Ji Maharaj. Recognizing the importance of the event, Thakur Vinod Singh announced a generous donation of 1.51 lakh rupees. This contribution is dedicated to the well-being of the newlywed couples in the name of his three grandsons, Thandi Singh, Dumka Singh, and Thoka Singh. Furthermore, he has committed to covering the entire expenses for one couple, adhering to the guidelines established by the organizing committee.
Reflecting on the significance of the event, Thakur Vinod Singh emphasized that mass wedding ceremonies serve as a vital platform for fostering social unity, equality, and brotherhood. He noted that such gatherings strengthen the spirit of cooperation within the community. Expressing his pride in hosting a state-level event on the sacred soil of Karauli, he urged other affluent members of the society to contribute according to their capacity to ensure the event's success.
The organizers expressed their deep appreciation for this support, highlighting that the involvement of community benefactors is essential for the success of such large-scale social initiatives. This upcoming event marks the eighth such ceremony organized by the Rajput community, reflecting a continued commitment to social awareness and unity.
District spokesperson Ved Prakash Singh, also known as Lala, confirmed that both state and district executive committees are working diligently to finalize arrangements. Responsibilities, including the registration of couples, have been delegated to various tehsil-level committees to ensure efficient management. The meeting was attended by several prominent figures, including senior advocate Udhi Singh, district organization secretary Ajit Singh Tatwai, and treasurer Dharmendra Singh Machani, among other dedicated community workers.
