Dholpur Police Deploys Over 2,000 Personnel to Ensure Secure Panchayat Elections

Dholpur police have finalized a comprehensive security plan for the upcoming Panchayat elections, deploying 2,020 personnel across 426 polling stations.

Dholpur. In a major security mobilization, the Dholpur police have finalized a comprehensive strategy to ensure the upcoming Rajasthan Panchayat Raj General Elections proceed in a peaceful and transparent manner. With the first phase of voting scheduled for the district, authorities have committed a force of 2,020 officers and personnel to maintain law and order across the region. This deployment aims to create a secure environment where voters can exercise their franchise without fear, pressure, or external influence.

The security framework covers 426 designated polling stations spread across the Dholpur, Bari, and Saipau panchayat samiti areas. To maintain constant vigilance, the police have organized 49 mobile patrol units equipped with wireless communication systems. These units will conduct continuous rounds of their assigned sectors to monitor polling activities and respond rapidly to any reports of irregularities. Additionally, sensitive and hyper-sensitive booths will be reinforced with extra armed police contingents to prevent any potential disruptions.

Supervision of the operation is being managed by a team of senior officials, including four Additional Superintendents of Police and seven Deputy Superintendents. Additional Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Sharma has been appointed as the overall in-charge for the police arrangements in the three participating panchayat samitis. The force includes personnel from the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary, the Amrita Devi Battalion, and home guards from various districts, all working in coordination to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.

During a recent review meeting at the Dholpur Police Lines, Superintendent of Police Vikas Sangwan issued strict directives to the force. He emphasized that any negligence during election duty would not be tolerated and urged officers to remain vigilant against attempts to influence voters or violate the model code of conduct. The police have also warned against the distribution of illicit substances and have urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information on social media platforms.

Logistical arrangements for the departure of polling parties are being finalized at the Government Polytechnic College. Special traffic management plans have been implemented at key intersections to ensure the smooth movement of election vehicles. A dedicated control room at Gulab Bagh will serve as the central hub for real-time communication between mobile units and supervisory officers, ensuring that the district remains prepared for any contingency throughout the voting period.
