Jaipur. In a major crackdown under the state-wide Operation Trinetra, law enforcement authorities in Pratapgarh have successfully frozen illegal assets valued at approximately 81.60 lakh rupees belonging to a known narcotics smuggler identified as Badshah Khan. This decisive action was taken under the provisions of Section 68-F(1) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, targeting wealth accumulated through illicit drug trafficking activities.

The operation was executed under the strategic guidance of District Superintendent of Police Vishal Jangid and Additional Superintendent of Police Jaidev Siag. The formal proposal for freezing these assets was meticulously prepared by the Kotdi Station House Officer, Thakraram, and subsequently submitted to the competent authority and administrator under the SAFEMA-FOP and NDPS Act in New Delhi. Following a formal hearing on October 28, 2026, the authorities approved and finalized the freezing order.

The investigation into the suspect's financial background originated from a significant seizure on February 1, 2023, when police intercepted 136 kilograms of poppy husk in a mini-truck near Sholi village. Subsequent investigations by the Arnod police station established the direct involvement of Badshah Khan in the procurement and distribution of these narcotics. Khan, a resident of Kotdi, is currently facing five separate criminal cases related to drug smuggling across Pratapgarh and Sirohi districts.

Intelligence reports indicated that the accused had amassed significant wealth through the illegal trade of poppy husk and brown sugar. A dedicated police team conducted a thorough financial audit, identifying various movable and immovable properties acquired through these criminal proceeds. The frozen assets include a luxurious residential property in Kotdi village, estimated to be worth 80 lakh rupees, along with two motorcycles valued at approximately 1.60 lakh rupees.

Following the approval of the freezing order, local police have placed official notices on the affected properties to prevent any unauthorized transfer or sale. This action serves as a stern warning to those involved in the narcotics trade, demonstrating the state's commitment to dismantling the financial infrastructure that supports drug trafficking operations across the region.
