Motorcycle riders gathered at Albert Hall in Jaipur for the anti-drug rally
Jaipur. The historic Albert Hall in Jaipur witnessed a spirited display of national unity and social responsibility on Thursday morning as a national motorcycle rally arrived in the city. The event, centered on the theme of fighting against substance abuse, brought together riders from various central security forces and police organizations to spread awareness across the country. Rajasthan Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma welcomed the participants, commending their dedication to the mission of building a drug-free nation.
Addressing the gathering, DGP Sharma emphasized that these riders are not merely travelers but messengers of a vital social cause. He highlighted the ambitious national goal set by Union Home Minister Amit Shah to achieve a drug-free India by 2029. The DGP noted that while the riders come from diverse backgrounds, their unified objective remains the eradication of drug addiction, which he described as a collective societal battle rather than an individual one.
During the ceremony, the DGP administered a solemn pledge to the participants, urging them to remain free from substance abuse and to encourage their families and communities to do the same. He also announced that the Rajasthan Police is preparing to launch a comprehensive campaign aimed at making the state drug-free. The riders, who had been welcomed at Amer Fort upon their arrival the previous evening, engaged with local students, NCC cadets, and residents to discuss the devastating impact of drugs on families and the importance of youth staying focused on national development.
The rally features personnel ranging from constables to Inspector General rank officers from forces including the CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, NDRF, NSG, and SSB. Rajasthan Police riders have also joined the contingent as it moves through the state. Following their departure from Jaipur, the rally is scheduled to proceed to Ajmer, Chittorgarh, and Udaipur before heading toward Gandhinagar. This initiative serves as a precursor to the National Unity Day parade, which will take place on October 31 at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
