JAIPUR. In a proactive move to ensure public safety and maintain law and order, the Rajasthan Police conducted a series of coordinated route marches across the state on Tuesday. The initiative, which spanned from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, was aimed at reinforcing a sense of security among citizens as the state prepares for the upcoming festive season.
The operation was carried out under the direct guidance of Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma. Following his directives, Additional Director General of Police for Law and Order, V.K. Singh, instructed all district Superintendents of Police to mobilize their forces in key areas. The primary focus was placed on major thoroughfares, bustling commercial hubs, and locations characterized by high foot traffic.
Senior police officials personally led the patrols, ensuring a visible and effective presence throughout the designated time frame. By maintaining a strong footprint in public spaces, the department seeks to deter criminal activity and keep a close watch on potential anti-social elements that might disrupt the peace during celebrations.
Beyond the immediate goal of crime prevention, these exercises are designed to foster a climate of trust and confidence between the police force and the community. The visible presence of officers serves as a reminder of the state's commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that residents can participate in festivities without fear or apprehension.
ADG V.K. Singh emphasized that the police department remains steadfast in its mission to manage crime effectively and preserve order across the state. As the festive calendar approaches, authorities are implementing a series of strategic measures, including heightened surveillance and increased vigilance, to guarantee a peaceful and harmonious environment for all citizens throughout the holiday period.
