Bharatpur. Residents and business owners in parts of Bharatpur are advised to prepare for a scheduled electricity disruption early next week. The local power utility has announced that maintenance activities are slated for October 14, requiring a temporary shutdown of the 33 KV Halena feeder line to ensure the long-term stability and safety of the local electrical grid.
The power interruption is scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM and is expected to conclude by 12:00 PM. During this four-hour window, all electrical operations connected to the 33/11 KV GSS Halena and the Moloni substations will be suspended. Consequently, all 11 KV feeders operating under these specific substations will remain inactive while technical teams perform the necessary repairs and system upgrades.
This maintenance work is a critical part of the department's routine efforts to improve infrastructure reliability. By addressing potential vulnerabilities in the lines now, officials aim to prevent more significant, unplanned outages in the future. However, the temporary loss of power will impact a wide range of consumers, including residential households, local commercial establishments, and various small-scale industries that rely on consistent electricity for their daily operations.
Local authorities have requested that residents plan their activities accordingly to minimize any inconvenience caused by the outage. While the utility department expects to restore full service by noon, consumers are encouraged to complete any power-dependent tasks before the morning cutoff time. The department appreciates the cooperation of the public as they work to enhance the local power distribution network.
