62-Foot Tall Bird Palace Becomes Landmark at Sumerpur Gaushala

Sumerpur. The Shri Ram Gaushala in Koliwada has transformed into a sanctuary for both cattle and avian life with the completion of a remarkable 62-foot-tall bird shelter. This architectural marvel, designed to resemble a temple, has become a focal point for the local community and travelers along the national highway, who frequently pause to admire its intricate structure and the decorative peacock perched at its summit.

Constructed at a cost of approximately 4.50 lakh rupees, the project stands as a testament to collective community effort and compassion. The structure is supported by robust 20-foot pillars, providing a safe and elevated habitat for thousands of birds. Its unique design has drawn widespread praise from visitors who view it as a profound symbol of environmental stewardship and animal welfare.

The initiative was driven by the dedicated efforts of the Shri Shiv Mahila Mandal and the Shri Jagannath Mahila Mandal. Inspired by the leadership of Manju Ben Kumawat and Gita Ben Kumawat, the project highlights the power of community-led social action. The Gaushala Seva Samiti played a pivotal role in coordinating the construction, with senior members including Moolchand Namdev and Shivlal Parihar overseeing the quality and progress of the work throughout its development.

Members of the management committee, including Pukhraj Kumawat and Mohandas Vaishnav, recently conducted a final inspection of the facility to ensure all arrangements are in place for the upcoming inauguration. The committee emphasizes that their mission extends beyond cattle care, aiming to foster a broader commitment to the protection of birds, water resources, and the natural environment.

The project was realized through the collaborative efforts of the entire Gaushala Seva Samiti, including President Dheeraj Sankhla, Vice President Chaturbhuj Sharma, and Treasurer Narendra Kumar Purohit, among others. Plans for a grand inauguration ceremony are currently underway, where donors, social workers, and local representatives will gather to dedicate this service project to the public. The site is expected to serve as an educational landmark, teaching students and visitors about biodiversity and the importance of living in harmony with nature.
