Sawai Madhopur. Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena addressed a significant press conference at the Jalsa Hotel in Sawai Madhopur, detailing the Bharatiya Janata Party's strategic roadmap for the upcoming 2026 Panchayati Raj elections. Emphasizing the party's organizational strength, he stated that the selection of candidates would be strictly based on ground-level surveys, public support, and electoral viability, leaving no room for nepotism. He urged party workers to remain united and focused on securing victories at every polling booth.
Addressing allegations of electoral malpractice raised by the opposition, Dr. Meena dismissed the claims as baseless propaganda. He pointedly questioned how the opposition could secure wins in recent Lok Sabha elections in regions like Sawai Madhopur and Dausa if the government were truly manipulating the voting process. He accused certain factions of attempting to destabilize democratic institutions and asserted that the public remains steadfast in their support for the current leadership.
The Minister highlighted the government's extensive development agenda for the region, noting that infrastructure projects worth approximately 150 crore rupees are currently underway. A major focus is being placed on flood control and urban drainage, with over 80 crore rupees allocated specifically for the construction of the Natiya Nala. Dr. Meena warned that any officials or contractors found compromising on the quality of road construction or public works would face strict disciplinary action.
During his visit, the Minister conducted surprise inspections of ongoing projects, including the road connecting Bhadoti to Makhauli and the canal systems at Dhil Dam, ensuring that transparency and quality standards are strictly maintained. He emphasized that the government is committed to enhancing local infrastructure to support the region's growing tourism sector, particularly given the global prominence of the Ranthambore sanctuary.
Looking toward the future, Dr. Meena outlined plans to develop civic amenities along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and establish processing units for local agricultural products like guavas to boost youth employment. He concluded by expressing confidence that the people of Sawai Madhopur would prioritize the government's development vision and grant the BJP a decisive mandate in the upcoming local body elections.
