Dholpur. Local law enforcement authorities in Dholpur have successfully disrupted a potential attempt to influence voters ahead of the upcoming panchayat elections. Acting on intelligence regarding the illegal distribution of gifts to sway the electorate, the Dholpur Sadar police station conducted a targeted operation that resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of items intended for distribution.
The operation took place near Alhepura village, where officers had established a strategic blockade to monitor suspicious movement. During the routine inspection of vehicles passing through the area, the police team intercepted a Bolero SUV bearing the registration number RJ 11 UA 1282. Upon conducting a thorough search of the vehicle, officers discovered a large cache of textiles, specifically 836 sarees and 440 scarves, which were clearly intended to be used as inducements for voters.
This enforcement action was carried out under the direct supervision of District Superintendent of Police Vikas Sangwan, with guidance from Additional Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Sharma and Deputy Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar. The field team, led by Station House Officer Amit Kumar, acted swiftly to secure the contraband and the vehicle. The entire haul was confiscated under the provisions of Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
The police team involved in this successful interception included Head Constable Ganesh and Constables Manoj and Khem Singh. Authorities are currently conducting a detailed investigation to identify the individuals or political candidates responsible for organizing this shipment. The police have reiterated their commitment to ensuring that the panchayat elections remain peaceful, fair, and entirely free from any form of electoral malpractice or bribery.
