Jaipur. In a significant operation against child labor, the Jaipur West police successfully rescued three minor children from an industrial unit located on Khatipura Road. The raid was executed following specific directives from Deputy Commissioner of Police Prashant Kiran and under the direct supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police Darjaram Bones. The children were found working in a factory identified as G.N. Enterprises, where they were engaged in the manufacturing of iron swings.

The operation was carried out by a specialized team comprising members of the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit and the Sadar police station. Acting on intelligence, the team arrived at the facility on October 27, 2026, to find the minors working from early morning until late at night. The authorities documented the scene through photography and videography to ensure evidence was preserved for the ongoing investigation.

Preliminary inquiries revealed that the children were subjected to strenuous labor and were denied basic safety and health protections. The environment was described as physically and mentally taxing, with the minors facing constant pressure to perform tasks without adequate rest. The police have categorized this as a serious case of exploitation, noting that the children were frequently reprimanded for minor errors during their long shifts.

The contractor operating the facility, identified as 22-year-old Faiz Khan, a native of Pilibhit district in Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended at the site. A formal case has been registered at the Sadar police station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Juvenile Justice Act, and the Child Labour Prohibition and Regulation Act. The investigation is currently focused on determining the extent of the illegal operations and identifying any further links.

Following the rescue, the three children were placed under the care of the Prayas JAC Society in Sodala to ensure their safety and rehabilitation. The police have reiterated their commitment to eradicating child labor within the city, emphasizing that such raids will continue to be a priority for the department. Further legal proceedings against the accused are underway as the authorities continue to gather evidence and statements related to the case.
