Sawai Madhopur. A potential burglary was averted early Tuesday morning at a commercial complex located on the prominent Ranthambore Road in Sawai Madhopur. Local residents alerted authorities after hearing suspicious noises emanating from the premises around 4:30 AM, prompting a swift response from the Kotwali police station. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the locks on the main gate had been compromised, leading to the immediate detention of four minors found at the scene.
The incident began when neighbors, noticing unusual activity within the sealed mall, raised an alarm and contacted the property owner, Amar Singh. Singh promptly notified the police control room, ensuring that law enforcement arrived before the suspects could escape. The four detained individuals are currently being questioned at the local police station to determine their motives and whether they were acting under the direction of others or as part of a larger group.
Following the incident, the property owner expressed significant frustration regarding the current security protocols for sealed assets. Singh highlighted that because the property is under official seal, the responsibility for maintaining its security rests with the administrative authorities. He noted that this is not an isolated incident, claiming that the facility has been targeted by thieves on five or six previous occasions. He argued that the lack of adequate security measures continues to leave the property vulnerable to repeated criminal activity.
Police are currently conducting a thorough investigation to assess whether any items were stolen or if significant damage was caused to the infrastructure. Investigators are also reviewing the statements provided by the detained minors to piece together the timeline of the breach. As the investigation continues, the incident has sparked a broader conversation among local residents about the safety of sealed properties in the area and the necessity for more robust oversight by the district administration to prevent future security lapses.
