Dholpur. Authorities in Dholpur have officially closed the investigation into the tragic deaths of two young children and their uncle, which occurred in Pura Sikaroda village under the Kanchanpur police station area. The incident, which came to light on October 21, 2026, has been identified as a case of double murder followed by suicide, driven by deep-seated family tensions and psychological distress.
The investigation, conducted under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Vikas Sangwan, revealed that 25-year-old Vishnu Kushwah was responsible for the deaths of his two nephews, Shani, aged eight, and Manas, aged six. The bodies were discovered in a field on the morning of October 21, with Vishnu found hanging from a tree while the children were located nearby.
According to police findings, the family had been grappling with internal conflicts for several months. Despite attempts by relatives to mediate and resolve these issues, the situation remained volatile. Tensions had escalated significantly in the weeks leading up to the tragedy, leading to a breakdown in communication among family members, which reportedly pushed Vishnu into a state of severe mental anguish.
