Jaipur. The Rajasthan Police force has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to public service and crime prevention, earning high praise from the state leadership. Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma officially recognized five exceptional operations from the second week of October, citing the dedication and tactical intelligence displayed by officers across various districts. These achievements, categorized under the Best Police Work of the Week initiative, serve as a testament to the department's dual focus on humanitarian efforts and rigorous law enforcement.
Among the most notable acts of bravery was a life-saving intervention in Jaipur West. When a man identified as 50-year-old Motilal Thakur, a resident of Madhya Pradesh currently living in the Bawadi Pahadi area, became trapped on a high-tension electricity pole after suffering a severe electric shock, the situation turned critical. Constable Sunil Kumar, a driver attached to the Chetak 60 unit, displayed remarkable courage by climbing the energized structure without hesitation. His swift actions allowed him to safely retrieve the victim, who was immediately rushed to a medical facility for urgent treatment, ultimately saving his life.
Beyond individual acts of heroism, the department also celebrated significant successes in crime control, including the apprehension of a notorious gang of 28 female pickpockets who had been targeting attendees at religious gatherings. These operations underscore the proactive approach adopted by the force to maintain public order during sensitive events. The recognition of these efforts is intended to boost the morale of the entire police force and reinforce the bond of trust between the law enforcement agencies and the citizens they serve.
Addressing the force, DGP Rajiv Kumar Sharma emphasized that every member of the Rajasthan Police remains deeply committed to the safety and welfare of the public. He noted that such displays of courage and sensitivity are the hallmarks of a professional police force. The DGP expressed his confidence that these examples of excellence will inspire other personnel to maintain high standards of duty. He further reiterated that the department will continue to provide incentives for outstanding performance while maintaining a zero-tolerance policy toward criminal activities across the state.
