Dholpur. A somber atmosphere has gripped Pura Sikraunda village in the Kanchanpur police station area following the discovery of three bodies in a field on Wednesday morning. The deceased include 22-year-old Vishnu and his two nephews, 10-year-old Sunny and 8-year-old Manav, who were sons of Santosh. The grim scene has prompted local authorities to launch a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding these deaths.
Initial reports suggest that Vishnu had left his home on Tuesday evening accompanied by his sister-in-law and the two children. He reportedly dropped the woman off at her sister's residence in Akpura village within the Basedi region. While the woman stayed back, Vishnu returned home on his motorcycle with the two boys. It appears the tragic incident occurred in a field located approximately one kilometer from their residence.
When the trio failed to return home by Wednesday morning, family members initiated a search operation. The discovery of the children's bodies on the ground and Vishnu hanging from a nearby tree led to immediate alarm. Local residents alerted the authorities, who arrived promptly to secure the area and begin the preliminary inquiry.
Kanchanpur Station House Officer Harendra Singh and Rural Circle Officer Manohar Lal Meena reached the site to oversee the investigation. Given the gravity of the situation, a Forensic Science Laboratory team was summoned to collect vital evidence from the scene. Officials are currently interviewing family members and local villagers to reconstruct the timeline of events leading up to the discovery.
While investigators are exploring the possibility that the uncle may have taken the lives of his nephews before ending his own, officials maintain that the exact cause and motive remain unconfirmed. The police are examining all potential angles and awaiting further forensic analysis to provide clarity on this distressing case. The community remains in shock as the investigation continues to unfold.
