Deeg. Bharatpur Range Inspector General of Police Dr. Preeti Chandra conducted a surprise visit to the Deeg district on Friday to evaluate the operational efficiency of local law enforcement. During her tour, the senior official focused on the border police stations of Jurhara, Gopalgarh, and Kaithwara, where she conducted thorough inspections of station records, evidence rooms, and general administrative maintenance.

The IG meticulously examined the functionality of women's help desks and research chambers, emphasizing the need for a victim-centric approach. She instructed police personnel to handle public complaints with heightened sensitivity and to ensure that all investigations are conducted with absolute impartiality. This visit served as a critical assessment of the ground-level preparedness of the police force in the region.

Following the inspections, a crime review meeting was held at the Kaithwara police station, involving officers from the Kaman sector. During this session, Deeg Superintendent of Police Sharan Gopinath K. presented a comprehensive progress report. He highlighted the success of recent security upgrades and community policing initiatives, noting a significant decline in criminal activities such as illegal mining, drug trafficking, and cybercrime due to targeted operations.

Dr. Chandra expressed satisfaction with the current trajectory but remained firm on the need for continued vigilance. She issued strict directives to expedite the resolution of pending cases and to intensify efforts in apprehending wanted criminals. The IG underscored that transparency and accountability are the cornerstones of effective policing, urging officers to maintain a visible presence through increased patrolling in sensitive areas.

The visit concluded with a public hearing at the Kaithwara police station, where local residents had the opportunity to present their grievances directly to the IG. Dr. Chandra listened to various community concerns and disputes, ordering local officials to ensure time-bound and lawful resolutions for every case brought forward. She reiterated that direct communication between the police and the public is essential for maintaining law and order and fostering community trust.

The review session was attended by the Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police, and various circle and station house officers who were briefed on the upcoming security priorities for the district.
