Bharatpur. The internal discord within the Rajasthan Congress has intensified following a sharp public critique from former cabinet minister and senior leader Vishvendra Singh. Taking to social media, the veteran politician expressed deep dissatisfaction with the current state of the party, suggesting that the organization is effectively leaderless and operating without a clear vision. His remarks highlight a growing rift between established party figures and the current state leadership.

The catalyst for this outburst appears to be the recent induction of local farmer leader Nem Singh Faujdar into the Congress party in Jaipur, an event facilitated by State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra. Given the long-standing political rivalry between Faujdar and Singh in the Bharatpur region, the move has been perceived as a direct challenge to the former minister's influence. Singh’s public frustration surfaced almost immediately after the induction ceremony.

In his statement, Singh accused the current party leadership of prioritizing arrogance over organizational health. He warned that those currently in charge are effectively undermining the very foundation of the party, comparing their actions to cutting the branch upon which they are seated. He further lamented that senior leaders and individuals with a sense of self-respect are being sidelined, leaving the younger generation without proper guidance or mentorship.

Addressing the party high command, Singh urged for immediate intervention to stabilize the situation in Rajasthan. He specifically called for a greater role for women within the organizational structure to revitalize the party's outreach. Reflecting on his own political career, the former minister emphasized his commitment to public service and his refusal to engage in sycophancy. He maintained that his loyalty has always been to the people rather than to political maneuvering.

This is not the first time the former royal family member has signaled discontent with the party's direction or the working style of the state president. While he has stopped short of resigning, his latest comments indicate that the factionalism in eastern Rajasthan remains a significant hurdle for the party. The state leadership now faces the difficult task of reconciling these internal differences as the political landscape in the region continues to shift.
