Jaipur. The Amar Jawan Jyoti in Jaipur became the site of a poignant tribute as the Sena Medal Memorial Committee organized a ceremony to mark the 23rd death anniversary of Major Alok Mathur. The event brought together the family of the late officer, including his wife Pragati Mathur, alongside prominent citizens who gathered to pay their respects to the fallen soldier.

The ceremony was led by Udayveer Singh Yadav, a former Army Naik who currently serves as a Chief Manager at the State Bank of India. During the proceedings, Yadav recognized the sacrifices of ten families of martyrs, while also celebrating the academic achievements of twenty-five meritorious students. Additionally, five individuals were honored for their dedicated service to the community, receiving certificates and mementos as a token of appreciation.

Yadav, who is widely regarded as a beacon of resilience, shared his perspective on service and perseverance during the event. Having served in the Indian Army with distinction, he faced a life-altering accident that resulted in the loss of both his legs. Despite these physical challenges, he has transitioned into a role of active social service, consistently working to motivate the youth of the nation through his own journey of overcoming adversity.

The atmosphere at the memorial was one of solemn reflection and inspiration as attendees remembered the bravery of Major Mathur. The event served as a reminder of the enduring bond between the armed forces and the civilian community, highlighting the importance of acknowledging those who have given their lives for the country.

The program concluded with a collective rendition of the national anthem, leaving a lasting impression on all those present. Through his ongoing efforts, Yadav continues to bridge the gap between military sacrifice and civilian support, ensuring that the legacy of heroes remains a guiding light for the next generation.
