Chauth ka Barwara Administrator Removed Following Probe into Irregularities
The Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Department has removed Sita Saini from her role as administrator of Chauth ka Barwara gram panchayat over lease and construction irregularities.
Sawai Madhopur. The state government has taken decisive action in Sawai Madhopur following a formal investigation into administrative misconduct within the Chauth ka Barwara gram panchayat. Sita Saini, who was serving as the administrator after previously holding the position of sarpanch, has been officially removed from her post. This decision follows a comprehensive inquiry into allegations of irregularities concerning the issuance of land leases and the execution of various construction projects within the local jurisdiction.
According to the official directive issued by the Panchayati Raj Department, the investigation concluded that Saini bore responsibility for the procedural lapses identified during the audit of panchayat operations. The state government acted upon these findings to ensure accountability in local governance. The order, which formalizes her removal, emphasizes the necessity of maintaining transparency and adherence to established legal frameworks in all municipal and rural development activities.
In light of this development, the government has initiated the process to appoint a successor to manage the daily affairs of the gram panchayat. The directive mandates that the outgoing deputy sarpanch be entrusted with the responsibilities of the administrator. The District Collector of Sawai Madhopur has been instructed to oversee the transition and ensure that the new administrator assumes charge immediately, as per the departmental order dated February 11, 2025.
To ensure the smooth implementation of this administrative change, copies of the removal order have been disseminated to several key officials. This includes the Divisional Commissioner of Bharatpur, the Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad in Sawai Madhopur, and the Development Officer of the Chauth ka Barwara Panchayat Samiti. These authorities are expected to facilitate the handover process and ensure that the administrative functions of the panchayat continue without further disruption while the investigation's findings are addressed.
