Rajasthan Teachers Pledge to Plant Five Million Trees This Teacher's Day

On the occasion of Teacher's Day, the Primary Teachers Association (Level 1) has introduced a significant environmental initiative aimed at transforming ecological preservation into a widespread public movement. The organization has called upon educators across Rajasthan to participate in the 'One Teacher, Five Plants' campaign, setting a target for every member to plant at least five saplings on September 5 and commit to their long-term survival.

Association leaders emphasized that the act of planting is merely the beginning, while the true objective lies in ensuring that each sapling matures into a healthy tree. Teachers are encouraged to utilize their school premises, residential areas, or other suitable locations for this drive. Furthermore, they are urged to act as mentors by inspiring their students and the local community to take an active interest in protecting the environment.

The initiative also places a strong emphasis on the maintenance of previously planted trees, ensuring that the state's green cover grows sustainably. Key representatives of the association, including Vijay Suthar, Khemraj Meena, Shyam Jangu, and Indrajit Chaudhary, have formally pledged their support to this cause. They have appealed to the teaching fraternity to move beyond traditional celebrations and instead offer the gift of five trees to the earth.
