Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh Member of Parliament and former state BJP president CP Joshi observed his birthday this week by spearheading a massive social welfare campaign across Rajasthan. Rather than accepting traditional tokens of appreciation, the parliamentarian requested his supporters to channel their resources toward assisting underprivileged families. This initiative transformed his birthday into a day of service, with party workers reaching out to marginalized communities to provide essential support.
The celebration saw an outpouring of well-wishes from the nation's top leadership. President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma extended their formal greetings through letters. Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP national leader Nitin Nabin, along with several state ministers and party officials, conveyed their warm wishes via telephone, acknowledging the MP's commitment to public service.
Emphasizing the spirit of compassion, Joshi urged his followers to avoid spending money on bouquets or traditional gifts. Instead, he encouraged the distribution of clothing, sweets, and firecrackers to children living in impoverished areas, ensuring that these families could participate in the festive spirit of Diwali. He noted that the true essence of public life lies in reaching the last person in the social hierarchy and ensuring that no household remains deprived of joy during the festive season.
Following his appeal, BJP representatives and volunteers organized various charitable activities throughout the state. These efforts included the distribution of food, clothing, and festive supplies to those in need. Beyond human welfare, the campaign also extended to animal care, with many volunteers visiting local cow shelters to provide fodder and feed, reinforcing the commitment to community service.
Expressing his gratitude for the overwhelming support, Joshi thanked the senior leaders, party workers, and well-wishers for their affection. He emphasized that the love shown through these acts of service is invaluable to him. He further called upon his supporters to ensure that this spirit of sensitivity and cooperation remains a permanent fixture in their social work, rather than being limited to special occasions or festivals.
