Father Arrested for Murder of Eight-Month-Old Daughter in Karauli After Fabricating False Accusations

A father in Karauli has been arrested for allegedly killing his infant daughter and framing his relatives to cover up the crime following a family dispute.

Karauli. In a shocking turn of events in Khede ka Pura village near Hindaun City, local authorities have apprehended a man accused of murdering his own eight-month-old daughter. The investigation revealed that the father, identified as Ramdev Jatav, allegedly committed the heinous act during a domestic dispute and subsequently attempted to mislead investigators by filing a false complaint against his own nephews and their wives.

The incident came to light on the morning of October 28, when the accused arrived at a local hospital with the lifeless body of his infant. Upon being informed by medical professionals that the child had passed away, Ramdev initiated a narrative claiming that his brother’s sons and their spouses had killed the baby during a violent altercation. This initial report prompted an immediate police response and a thorough investigation into the alleged assault.

As detectives began piecing together the timeline of events, they conducted extensive interviews with family members and neighbors. Evidence emerged suggesting that a heated argument had occurred between Ramdev and his wife, Reshma, on the night preceding the tragedy. Tensions reportedly escalated the following morning, leading to an intervention by the accused's nephew, Ramveer, which further fueled the conflict.

The investigation took a definitive turn when witness statements and forensic evidence began to contradict the father's account. Investigators found that the narrative provided by the complainant was inconsistent with the testimonies gathered from the scene. The evidence ultimately pointed toward the father as the sole perpetrator, leading to his formal arrest on charges of murder and filing a false police report.

Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Lokesh Sonwal, a specialized team from the Nai Mandi police station was tasked with resolving the case. The efforts of Head Constable Rajesh Kumar were particularly instrumental in uncovering the truth behind the fabricated story. Authorities are currently continuing their inquiry into the remaining aspects of the case to ensure all legal procedures are followed as the judicial process begins.
