State-Level Drug Kingpin Jasran Alias Jhabbu Captured in Sawai Madhopur
Police have arrested a notorious drug smuggler carrying a 25,000 rupee bounty, marking a major breakthrough against narcotics networks across five districts.
Sawai Madhopur. In a significant crackdown on narcotics trafficking, local law enforcement has successfully apprehended a high-profile criminal who had been evading justice across multiple regions. The operation, led by the Kundera police station in coordination with the District Special Team, resulted in the arrest of Jasran, widely known as Jhabbu, who carried a bounty of 25,000 rupees on his head. District Superintendent of Police Jyeshtha Maitreyi confirmed the arrest during a formal press briefing, highlighting the suspect's status as a key figure in the state-level drug trade.
The arrest took place following a strategic blockade established by authorities at the Uliyana intersection. Acting on credible intelligence regarding the suspect's movements, police teams intercepted Jhabbu and conducted a search that yielded 13.34 grams of illicit smack. The suspect was immediately taken into custody and booked under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. This tactical success is being viewed as a major blow to the organized drug distribution networks operating within the region.
Jhabbu was not only among the top ten most wanted criminals in Sawai Madhopur but was also identified as a kingpin by state authorities. His criminal activities had made him a person of interest for law enforcement agencies in Karauli, Tonk, and Kota, among other districts. The scale of his operations had prompted a state-level designation, making his capture a priority for the police department. The recovery of the contraband during the arrest provides concrete evidence to support the ongoing legal proceedings against him.
Currently, investigators are conducting intensive interrogations to dismantle the broader supply chain associated with the suspect. The police are focused on tracing the origin of the seized narcotics and identifying the intended recipients within his distribution network. Authorities believe that the information gathered during this phase will lead to further arrests and the potential exposure of other individuals involved in the illicit trade. Superintendent Maitreyi has commended the joint efforts of the Kundera police and the District Special Team, announcing rewards for the officers involved in this successful operation.
