Rajasthan Banking Sector Shifts Focus to Cyber Security and Digital Land Records Integration
The 170th State Level Bankers Committee meeting in Jaipur addressed rising cyber fraud concerns and the integration of the Unified Lending Interface with the E-Dharti portal.

Jaipur. The 170th meeting of the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) of Rajasthan took place in Jaipur on September 3, 2026, bringing together top financial and government officials to address the evolving landscape of the state's banking sector. The session was co-chaired by Sanjay B. Mudaliar, Chairman of the SLBC and Executive Director of Bank of Baroda, alongside B. Srinivas, Chief Secretary of the Rajasthan government. The high-level gathering focused on strengthening the financial infrastructure while tackling the growing menace of digital financial crimes.
Addressing the assembly, Sanjay B. Mudaliar highlighted that cyber security has emerged as a critical challenge for the banking industry, necessitating a robust defense mechanism and widespread public awareness. He noted that the SLBC has already taken proactive measures, including the launch of the Smart Banking and Safe Banking 2.0 campaign. This initiative has successfully reached over 70,000 customers through more than 3,400 camps across the state. Furthermore, the integration of the Unified Lending Interface (ULI) with the E-Dharti portal marks a significant milestone, allowing for the seamless and transparent online entry of loan-related records linked to land holdings.
Chief Secretary B. Srinivas expressed deep concern regarding the increasing frequency of cyber fraud cases and urged all banking institutions to adopt a more proactive stance in preventing such incidents. He emphasized that banks must align their operations with the vision of a developed Rajasthan by 2047, focusing specifically on the four pillars of the poor, youth, women, and farmers. He stressed that while credit growth remains essential, banks must prioritize financial inclusion to ensure that institutional financial services reach every segment of society effectively.
Pratibha Mishra, Convener of the SLBC and General Manager of Bank of Baroda, commended the member banks for their exceptional performance in achieving targets under the Annual Credit Plan and the Atal Pension Yojana. She encouraged the institutions to maintain this momentum throughout the current quarter of the 2026-27 financial year to further solidify the state's social security and financial inclusion frameworks.
During the proceedings, Raj Kumar Meena, Deputy General Manager and Head of SLBC at Bank of Baroda, presented a comparative analysis of the performance of member banks against their allocated targets. The meeting also served as a platform to discuss various pending issues between the banking sector and the state government, ensuring that progress on state-sponsored schemes remains on track for the benefit of the public.
