Satish Punia Hails Anti-Paper Leak Bill as Historic Milestone, Slams Congress Over Past Failures

New Delhi. Rajya Sabha MP and former Rajasthan BJP president Dr. Satish Punia has lauded the central government's newly introduced anti-paper leak legislation, describing it as a historic milestone for the nation. Speaking to the media in New Delhi, Punia emphasized that the Modi administration remains deeply committed to the welfare of the country's youth, noting that the new law incorporates stringent provisions to ensure the integrity of competitive examinations and prevent the use of unfair means.

Punia drew a sharp contrast between the current central government's proactive stance and the situation in Rajasthan during the previous Congress regime. He alleged that under the leadership of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the state witnessed 17 separate instances of paper leaks, which severely impacted the futures of millions of students. He questioned why Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi remained silent during those incidents, failing to demand accountability or resignation from the state leadership at the time.

The BJP leader further criticized the opposition's conduct in Parliament, accusing them of wasting legislative time instead of offering constructive suggestions on the bill. He argued that while the Modi government has focused on securing the health and future of citizens—a fact he noted is well-remembered by the younger generation from the pandemic era—the previous Rajasthan government was preoccupied with internal political maneuvering and staying in five-star hotels.

Addressing recent political discourse, Punia condemned the remarks made by Priyanka Gandhi regarding Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi. He asserted that Joshi has attained his position through years of hard work and dedication to the organization, contrasting this with the political inheritance enjoyed by the Gandhi siblings. He urged the opposition to respect constitutional institutions and the dignity of parliamentary proceedings.

Concluding his remarks, Punia stated that the public has rejected the Congress party due to its internal factionalism and lack of vision. He expressed confidence that the BJP's welfare-oriented policies, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will continue to resonate with the youth and ensure the party's ongoing success in the political landscape.
