The viral nature of his speeches caught the attention of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, who visited Irfan at his residence in the Savda JJ Colony. During the meeting, Gandhi expressed admiration for the vendor's intellectual curiosity and his ability to articulate the concerns of the marginalized. The Congress leader emphasized that the true strength of India lies in the potential of its youth, regardless of their socioeconomic background.

During their interaction, Irfan remained steadfast in his commitment to the labor cause.
