Jaipur. Jaipur West police have successfully apprehended three suspects, including a serving army soldier, in connection with a violent kidnapping and assault case that occurred in the Kalwar police station area. The operation was conducted under the direct supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Prashant Kiran, following a complaint filed by the victim's brother, Manish Yadav, on November 2, 2026.
According to the police report, the victim, Govind Yadav, was sitting in his Swift car near Jodhpur Misthan Bhandar in Royal City when a black Thar vehicle intentionally rammed into his car from the wrong side. A group of six to seven assailants emerged from the vehicle, armed with iron rods and sticks, and launched a brutal attack on the victim. While his companions managed to escape, the attackers forcibly dragged Govind into their vehicle and fled toward Sushant City.
The investigation revealed that the motive behind this brazen abduction was a desire for revenge stemming from a previous incident of fraud. The suspects had meticulously planned the attack to settle scores. Upon receiving the report, a specialized team was formed under the guidance of Additional DCP Rajesh Gupta and ACP Jhotwara Shiv Kumar Bhardwaj, led by Station House Officer Dilip Singh.
The police team utilized advanced technical surveillance and analyzed extensive CCTV footage from the vicinity to track the suspects. Their efforts led to the arrest of Rajesh Chaudhary, Raju Lal Meena, and Bhagirath Gurjar. Authorities have successfully recovered both the Thar vehicle used in the commission of the crime and the victim's damaged Swift car.
The investigation is ongoing as police continue to search for the remaining suspects involved in the assault. The department has commended the efforts of the officers from the Kalwar police station and the District Special Branch for their swift action in identifying and capturing the primary perpetrators involved in this high-profile case of kidnapping and physical violence.
