Free Heart Bypass Surgery Under MAA Scheme Saves Life of Sikar Resident

SIKAR. A resident of Sikar district has found a new lease on life following a successful heart bypass surgery performed under the state government's health initiative. Mohanlal Saini, a 67-year-old laborer residing in Pushp Nagar, Ward Number 25 of Shrimadhopur, had been struggling with a severe cardiac condition that threatened his ability to support his nine-member family. As the sole breadwinner working at a local tent rental shop, the financial burden of a major medical procedure appeared insurmountable.

Upon consulting private medical facilities, Saini was informed that a bypass surgery would cost between 1.5 to 2 lakh rupees. Given his limited income, this expense was far beyond his reach, leaving him in a state of uncertainty regarding his health and the future of his dependents. During this critical period, he learned about the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya (MAA) scheme, which provides comprehensive medical coverage for eligible citizens, including complex cardiac interventions.

Taking advantage of the government program, Saini underwent the necessary bypass surgery at a private hospital on July 11, 2026. The procedure was completed successfully, and following a period of recovery, he was discharged from the medical facility on July 16, 2026. He has since returned to his home and is currently leading a healthy, normal life alongside his family members.

Reflecting on his experience, Saini expressed deep gratitude toward the state administration for the implementation of the MAA scheme. He noted that the initiative acted as a lifeline, allowing him to receive timely medical attention without the crushing weight of significant debt. His recovery serves as a testament to the impact of public health policies in providing accessible care to those who are economically vulnerable.

The successful outcome of this case highlights the importance of awareness regarding government-sponsored health schemes. For many families in rural and semi-urban areas, such programs are the only barrier between a manageable health crisis and financial ruin. Local health authorities continue to encourage residents to verify their eligibility for the MAA scheme to ensure they can access critical services when needed.
