Residents of Bijoliya Ward 7 Grapple with Contaminated Water Supply

BIJOLIYA. Residents living in Ward 7 of Bijoliya, specifically those situated opposite the Panchayat Samiti office, are currently enduring a distressing situation as they receive contaminated water through their taps. The local community reports that the supply has been compromised for several days, raising significant concerns regarding the quality of water provided by the Public Health Engineering Department.

Local resident Jasveer Singh stated that despite multiple formal complaints lodged with the department, there has been no tangible improvement in the situation. The persistent neglect has left families in the area struggling to access clean water for their daily needs, forcing them to rely on a supply that appears visibly unfit for consumption.

The community is deeply worried about the potential health consequences of this ongoing crisis. Residents have expressed fears that the consumption of this tainted water could lead to a surge in waterborne diseases, including jaundice, diarrhea, vomiting, and various skin ailments. The lack of action from the authorities has only exacerbated the anxiety among the local population.

In response to the deteriorating conditions, the residents have issued a strong appeal to the district administration and the water department to intervene immediately. They are demanding a swift overhaul of the local water supply infrastructure to ensure that safe and potable water is restored to their homes without further delay.

As the situation remains unresolved, the residents of Ward 7 continue to wait for a concrete response from the officials. The community emphasizes that the current state of affairs is unsustainable and poses a direct threat to public health, necessitating urgent corrective measures from the concerned government bodies to prevent a potential health outbreak in the region.
