Teenager dies after contact with high-tension power line in Dholpur

Rajakhera, Dholpur. A tragic incident occurred on Saturday morning in Gadi Jonavad village, falling under the jurisdiction of the Rajakhera police station, where a 17-year-old boy lost his life due to contact with a low-hanging high-tension electricity line. The victim, identified as Krishna, was at his residence around 8:30 a.m. when the fatal accident took place. The incident has triggered widespread outrage among local residents, who have accused the electricity department of gross negligence.

Following the tragedy, a large number of villagers gathered at the scene and subsequently transported the body to the Shaheed Raghavendra Singh Sub-District Hospital. Medical professionals at the facility declared the teenager dead upon arrival and moved the body to the morgue. The situation remained tense as family members and local community leaders demanded accountability for the preventable loss of life.

The victim's father, Vijay Singh, accompanied by local political figures, filed a formal complaint at the police station. In his statement, he alleged that the family had repeatedly alerted the electricity department about the dangerous proximity of the high-voltage lines to their home over the past month. The complaint specifically names Assistant Engineer Anand Kumar and Junior Engineer Vishal Jaiswal, alleging that they failed to act on previous warnings and reportedly demanded financial compensation to address the hazardous wiring.

The father was visibly devastated while filing the report, struggling to cope with the sudden loss of his son. Witnesses noted that despite repeated notifications, no representatives from the electricity department visited the hospital to address the grieving family or the public outcry. The lack of response from officials has further fueled the anger of the local community, who are now demanding immediate legal action against the named engineers.
