Jaipur. The Birla Auditorium in Jaipur recently hosted the 12th annual celebration of Godship Academy, an event centered around the theme of preserving cultural legacy. Through a series of artistic performances, students highlighted that true heritage is not found in physical structures or material wealth, but in the moral values, family bonds, and knowledge passed down through generations. The event aimed to bridge the gap between modern education and the foundational principles of Indian civilization.
The ceremony was graced by IPS Ajay Pal Lamba, Inspector General of the Special Operations Group of Rajasthan Police, who attended as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Dr. Rubina Baksh, a former student of the school and technical officer for the Haryana Skill Development Mission, and Dr. B.L. Soni. Their presence underscored the institution's commitment to fostering excellence among its alumni.
The program opened with a tribute to the ancient Gurukul system, illustrating how students once learned life skills, discipline, and self-reliance alongside academic studies. This was followed by an exploration of Vedic knowledge, emphasizing the importance of wisdom in understanding existence and nature. Students further showcased India's diverse cultural tapestry through presentations on the Indus Valley Civilization, yoga, Ayurveda, and various regional dance forms, reinforcing the message of unity in diversity.
A poignant segment of the evening featured the story of Panna Dhay, whose sacrifice to protect Prince Udai Singh served as a powerful lesson in loyalty and duty. The performances also emphasized the significance of joint families as the primary school for learning empathy, respect, and cooperation. These presentations served as a reminder that the wisdom of elders and the guidance of parents constitute an invaluable inheritance.
School Director and Principal Dr. Sangeeta Bhawal addressed the gathering, noting that the institution, established in Bani Park in 2014, strives to balance traditional values with contemporary education. She remarked that true humanity lies in thinking beyond oneself and contributing to the greater good. Chairman Swaraj Shaheed Bhawal expressed gratitude to the guests, highlighting the school's 34-year history of educational service and its 12-year presence in Jaipur, noting that many alumni now hold prestigious positions across various sectors.
