Sawai Madhopur. The third phase of the Panchayati Raj general elections 2026 witnessed a focused administrative effort in the Malarna Dungar panchayat committee area on Tuesday. As voters arrived to cast their ballots for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members, the district administration and police force maintained a visible presence to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
District Election Officer and Collector Kana Ram, accompanied by Superintendent of Police Jyestha Maitreyi, conducted a surprise inspection of the polling station located in Bhadoti. The officials evaluated the ground-level arrangements, engaging directly with polling staff and security personnel to verify that all protocols were being followed. The visit aimed to ensure that the voting environment remained free from fear and intimidation.
During the walkthrough, Collector Kana Ram scrutinized the basic amenities provided at the site, including drinking water, shade, and wheelchair access for elderly or disabled voters. He emphasized the importance of efficient queue management and instructed staff to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the State Election Commission. The Collector also reviewed the technical aspects of the process, including mock polls and the sealing of electronic voting machines, to guarantee a transparent outcome.
Superintendent of Police Jyestha Maitreyi focused her inspection on the security deployment surrounding the polling centers. She directed mobile patrol units to remain vigilant and maintain a constant presence, particularly in areas identified as sensitive. The police force has been instructed to take immediate and decisive legal action against any individuals attempting to disrupt the peace or gathering unnecessarily near the polling stations.
The administration has implemented robust security measures, including restrictions on private vehicle movement near the voting sites, to facilitate a smooth experience for the public. Despite the strict oversight, a palpable sense of enthusiasm was observed among the local population. Residents, including women, youth, and the elderly, turned out in significant numbers throughout the day to exercise their democratic rights, reflecting the active engagement of the community in the ongoing electoral exercise.
