Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Marks 72nd Anniversary with Call for Grassroots Expansion

Jaipur. The Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh commemorated its 72nd foundation day on Thursday at its Rajasthan state office, marking the occasion with a formal event attended by prominent labor leaders and political figures. The celebration served as a platform to reflect on the organization's historical journey and its enduring commitment to the welfare of the working class across the country.

Civil Lines MLA Gopal Sharma, who attended as the chief guest, paid tribute to the vision of the organization's founder, Dattopant Thengadi, and the foundational principles established by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. Sharma emphasized that organizations rooted in national interest play a vital role in building a stronger nation. He specifically addressed the challenges faced by public sector undertakings, including the state roadways, urging that these institutions prioritize service delivery to the public over mere profit-making motives.

Senior national executive member and former national finance secretary S.K. Rathore delivered the keynote address, detailing the evolution of the organization. He described the union as a non-political entity whose strength lies in the selfless dedication of its members. Rathore noted that through consistent adherence to its core principles, the union has grown into one of the largest labor organizations globally, maintaining its influence through the hard work of its grassroots cadre.

Looking toward the future, regional co-organizing secretary Hari Mohan Sharma issued a call to action for the expansion of the union's footprint. He stressed that the current priority is to strengthen the organization at the village level. To achieve this, he urged members to focus on developing new leadership at the tehsil level and establishing dedicated units in every village to ensure that the union's reach is comprehensive and effective.

The event was conducted by district media in-charge Akshay Kumar Meena, who reiterated the collective resolve to continue advocating for labor rights. District president Ranjeet Singh Gurjar concluded the proceedings by expressing gratitude to the attendees. The celebration ended on a note of unity, with members sharing sweets and pledging to further solidify the organization's presence across the region.
