Deeg Police Dismantle Massive Interstate Cyber Fraud Supply Chain
Authorities in Deeg have arrested 15 individuals, including a kingpin, for operating a sophisticated network that supplied hundreds of fraudulent bank accounts and SIM cards to cybercriminals.

DEEG. In a significant breakthrough under the Operation Countdown initiative, Deeg police have successfully dismantled an interstate criminal syndicate responsible for fueling cyber fraud across the region. The operation led to the arrest of 15 suspects, including the alleged mastermind, who were involved in the systematic creation and distribution of illicit banking channels and mobile connectivity to cybercriminals.
Superintendent of Police Sharan Gopinath K. confirmed that the investigation uncovered a massive supply chain that had provided approximately 500 fraudulent bank accounts and 1,500 fake SIM cards to operators in Rajasthan and Haryana. Preliminary findings linked the group to 287 complaints registered on the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal, involving a staggering 280 million rupees in fraudulent transactions.
The crackdown revealed a structured business model where fake SIM cards were sold for up to 2,000 rupees, while bank accounts fetched between 5,000 and 10,000 rupees. The syndicate also reportedly charged a commission of 15 to 20 percent on the illicit funds processed through these accounts. Among those apprehended were a bank employee and a point-of-sale operator, highlighting the internal complicity required to maintain such a network.
During the raids, law enforcement seized a substantial cache of evidence, including 24 mobile phones, over 80 SIM cards, various banking documents, and ATM cards. Furthermore, investigators confiscated four high-end vehicles—a Scorpio, a Thar, a Creta, and a Bullet motorcycle—believed to have been purchased with proceeds from cyber fraud, alongside 85,600 rupees in cash.
The operation was a joint effort involving the Kaithwara police station and the District Special Team. Officials are now conducting a deep forensic analysis of the recovered digital records and over 200 mule accounts to trace the ultimate beneficiaries of the stolen funds. Authorities have indicated that the current financial figures are likely to rise as the investigation into the broader network continues.
