New Leadership Takes Charge at All India LIC OBC Welfare Association

Jaipur. The All India LIC OBC Welfare Association recently concluded its 10th national convention, marking a significant transition in its leadership structure. During the proceedings, D. Srinivas Rao was elected as the national president, while Yogendra Singh Chaudhary assumed the role of national general secretary. This new executive team is tasked with steering the organization toward its primary goals of advocating for the welfare of OBC employees and ensuring their fair representation within the corporation.

The newly formed committee includes a diverse group of office bearers. Vasudev Nandi, Rakesh Kumar, Devnarayan Gurjar, P.S. Chauhan, and Baliram Naratne have been appointed as vice-presidents. The administrative team is further supported by joint secretaries Chandra Prakash, Rajesh Kasodaniya, Om Prakash Gawande, Vijay Kumar Gangaputra, and Jaywant Najan, with Balbir Singh taking charge as the treasurer. The election process was overseen by a panel consisting of S.S. Pal, Rajay Kumar, and Rakesh Yadav.

Following their election, the new office bearers expressed a firm commitment to strengthening the association. They emphasized that their tenure would focus on addressing constitutional rights and fostering a unified approach to the challenges faced by OBC staff members. The leadership aims to maintain a consistent dialogue with the management to ensure that the interests of the workforce remain a priority.

The event also saw participation from other prominent labor organizations. B.L. Mandiwal, national president of the All India Democratic LIC Development Officers Welfare Association, extended his congratulations to the newly elected team. During the ceremony, he presented a detailed dossier to the new leadership, highlighting ongoing concerns regarding service rules for development officers. Specifically, the document addresses issues related to performance-based service provisions and termination clauses.

Mandiwal underscored the importance of resolving these service-related grievances through factual and constitutional means. He noted that addressing these discrepancies is not only essential for the well-being of the employees but also vital for the long-term institutional stability of the corporation. The new executive committee has pledged to take up these matters at an institutional level to seek a constructive resolution.
