Jaipur. In a significant environmental gesture coinciding with Independence Day, railway staff under the banner of the North Western Railway Employees Union organized a large-scale plantation drive on August 15. The initiative was held to commemorate the birthday of Shiv Gopal Mishra, the General Secretary of the All India Railwaymen Federation, reflecting the union's commitment to both social responsibility and organizational unity.

The event saw active participation from the Jaipur division and the headquarters GLO branch, with volunteers gathering at the railway colony in Jagatpura. Participants not only planted numerous saplings but also formally pledged to ensure the long-term survival and growth of the new greenery, emphasizing a collective responsibility toward environmental sustainability within the railway premises.

During the proceedings, NWREU General Secretary Mukesh Mathur facilitated a digital connection, allowing the gathered staff to extend their warm birthday wishes to Mishra via a video call. This moment of camaraderie highlighted the strong bond between the national leadership and the local workforce, reinforcing the union's motto of standing with employees at every step of their professional journey.

The success of the plantation drive was driven by the dedicated efforts of numerous union representatives and railway personnel. Notable attendees included Rakesh Yadav, Meena Saxena, Rajiv Kumar Saran, Surendra Singh Badhala, Sonal Mathur, and Jamna Kanwar, among many others. Their collaborative spirit ensured that the event was executed efficiently, drawing support from various departments and family members of the railway staff.

Additional contributors who played a vital role in the day's success included Dharmesh Bairwa, Gajanand Sharma, Pawan Juneja, Brij Mohan Jangid, Chetan Verma, and Shankar Yadav. The presence of staff members like Samit Pratap Singh, Rajiv Barsar, Mahesh Bohra, Lokesh Meena, and Anurag Pareek further demonstrated the widespread enthusiasm for the cause.
