Four Lives Lost in Dausa: Electrocution and Road Accident Trigger Dual Family Tragedies
Two separate incidents in Dausa district on Monday resulted in four deaths, leaving two families devastated. A fatal electrocution led to a secondary tragedy when the victim's brother succumbed to shock, while a separate road collision claimed the lives of a father and his teenage son.

Dausa. The Dausa district was plunged into mourning on Monday following two separate incidents that claimed the lives of four individuals. The tragedies, occurring independently, have left local communities in deep shock as families grapple with the sudden loss of their loved ones.
In the first incident at the Sawansa village 132 KV GSS, 28-year-old Jitendra Chauhan, a company employee, was working on installing a new 11 KV power line. During the operation, the new line inadvertently made contact with an active overhead wire, resulting in a fatal electric shock that killed Jitendra instantly. The news of his untimely death reached his home in Tasai village, Alwar, where his elder brother, Prakash Chauhan, suffered a severe heart attack upon hearing the tragic update. Despite being rushed to a local community health center, Prakash could not be saved, leaving the family to mourn two brothers simultaneously.
In a separate and equally devastating event, a road accident on the national highway near the Reta bus stand claimed the lives of a father and his son. Pratap Singh, a 52-year-old driver, was traveling on a motorcycle with his 18-year-old son, Rohit Singh, when their vehicle collided with a trailer parked near a hotel. Pratap Singh died at the scene of the crash. His son, Rohit, who was a student in the eleventh grade, sustained critical injuries and was initially transported to the Dausa district hospital before being referred to Jaipur for advanced medical care. Despite the efforts of medical staff at the SMS Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Local authorities have completed the necessary post-mortem examinations for all victims and handed the bodies over to their respective families for final rites. These back-to-back incidents have cast a pall of gloom over the region, highlighting the fragility of life and the profound impact of sudden accidents on rural households.
