DGP Rajiv Kumar Sharma Inspects Border Security and Police Infrastructure During Three-Day Rajasthan Tour

Jaipur. Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma concluded a significant three-day tour of Western Rajasthan, focusing on both the operational readiness of border security forces and the internal infrastructure of the state police. The visit commenced with a spiritual stop at the Tanot Mata temple, where the DGP participated in morning prayers, seeking prosperity for the state before transitioning to official duties.

Upon arriving at the Jaisalmer Police Lines, the DGP was received with a guard of honor. His inspection was thorough, covering essential facilities including the officers' mess, the gymnasium, the canteen, and the newly constructed women's barracks. During these visits, he emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of living and working conditions for police personnel, providing specific directives to ensure that the environment remains conducive to their professional needs.

A notable highlight of the tour was the DGP's visit to the Mahatma Gandhi Government School located within the police lines. Engaging directly with both faculty and students, he took a keen interest in the academic environment and curriculum. By interacting with the children in their classrooms and distributing sweets, he underscored the administration's commitment to the welfare of police families.

The focus shifted to law enforcement strategy during his visit to the Sindhari police station in Balotra district. After reviewing the local crime situation, the DGP held a strategic meeting with officers. He stressed that effective policing in the modern era requires a robust partnership with the public. He specifically tasked officers with leveraging community cooperation to combat the rising threats of substance abuse and cybercrime, urging them to maintain constant communication with local residents to improve intelligence gathering.

Prior to these inspections, the DGP spent time at the Babliyan Border Outpost. Engaging with BSF personnel, he observed the harsh conditions under which border guards operate and commended their dedication. He reiterated the necessity of seamless coordination between the Rajasthan Police and the BSF to ensure national security. The tour was supported by senior officials, including IG Satyendra Singh and DIG Kunwar Rashtradeep, who accompanied the DGP throughout the mission.
