Rajasthan Police Gears Up for Massive October Crackdown on Cyber Fraud Networks

Jaipur. Rajasthan Police is preparing for a decisive offensive against digital criminals as the state administration prioritizes the eradication of cyber fraud. During a high-level review meeting held at the police headquarters, Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma issued strict directives to intensify investigations and dismantle the infrastructure supporting online scams across the state.

The meeting, which included senior officials from the Jaipur Commissionerate and Jaipur Rural district, emphasized the necessity of rapid response times in financial fraud cases. DGP Sharma highlighted that the speed of police intervention is critical for recovering stolen funds and tracking the digital footprints of perpetrators. To ensure specialized oversight, the state has deployed Deputy Superintendent of Police level officers in every district to lead cybercrime units.

A significant portion of the strategy involves a dedicated campaign scheduled for October. This initiative will specifically target the illicit ecosystem that facilitates money laundering and digital theft. Authorities are set to launch a rigorous crackdown on mule accounts, which are frequently used to rotate stolen funds, and will scrutinize the operations of banking branches that exhibit suspicious activity. Furthermore, the police will dismantle the network of point-of-sale agents involved in the distribution of fraudulent SIM cards.

The review also addressed the ongoing efforts during September, which is being observed as Cyber Security Month. Officials conducted a deep dive into emerging threats, including cryptocurrency fraud and unauthorized ATM withdrawals. By integrating advanced technical analysis with proactive field operations, the police aim to stay ahead of evolving criminal tactics.

Key leadership present at the session included ADG Law and Order V.K. Singh, Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal, and IG Jaipur Range Rahul Prakash. The collective focus remains on strengthening public awareness while simultaneously executing a zero-tolerance policy toward those exploiting digital vulnerabilities. As the October campaign approaches, the force is refining its technical resources to ensure that every reported incident receives immediate and effective legal attention.
