Kishori. The Government Higher Secondary School in Kishori witnessed a remarkable display of community spirit during the recent Independence Day celebrations. Under the leadership of Principal Bhagchand Yadav, a fundraising initiative was launched to address the urgent need for repairs to the school's deteriorating infrastructure. The campaign successfully garnered 4.06 lakh rupees, thanks to the generous contributions of school staff and local philanthropists.

Demonstrating a strong commitment to educational development, the school staff collectively contributed 97,800 rupees toward the cause. Further bolstering these efforts, the Tarun Bharat Sangh announced a significant pledge to double the total amount raised by the community, providing a substantial financial boost for the upcoming renovation project.

The Independence Day event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Magsaysay Award winner and Tarun Bharat Sangh President Rajendra Singh, and former IIT Bombay professor Chetan Solanki, who is renowned for his work on climate change. Other notable attendees included National Water Fraternity President Satyanarayan, BJP leader Rubiya Upadhyay, and Panchayat Samiti member Madanlal Meena.

During the proceedings, the speakers emphasized the critical importance of national duty, water conservation, and the urgent challenges posed by climate change. They also highlighted the necessity of providing quality education to the youth, noting that the school remains a vital pillar for the local community's future growth and development.

The celebration also served as a platform to recognize academic excellence. Students who secured the top three positions in the 2025-26 board examinations, along with those who topped their respective classes, were honored for their hard work and dedication. This recognition served as an inspiration for the entire student body, reinforcing the value of academic achievement in the face of infrastructure challenges.
