Bharatpur. The internal discord within the Rajasthan Congress has intensified as senior leader and former minister Vishvendra Singh has publicly signaled his intention to leave the party. This development follows a series of sharp confrontations between Singh and the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Chief, Govind Singh Dotasra. While Singh has not yet submitted a formal resignation, his recent public statements suggest that his association with the party is nearing an end.

The conflict reached a boiling point when Singh expressed deep dissatisfaction with the current leadership, stating that he could no longer align himself with the party's prevailing policies. In a poignant message shared on social media, he emphasized that he would rather prioritize his self-respect than continue in an environment where he feels stifled. He noted that his ancestors never compromised on their principles, and he intends to follow that same path of integrity, regardless of the political consequences.

The roots of this friction trace back to late September, when Singh leveled serious allegations against Dotasra regarding his tenure as Education Minister. The former minister accused the PCC Chief of irregularities during the REET examination and alleged misuse of power to influence RAS interview results for his family members. Singh had demanded an impartial investigation into these claims, insisting that such conduct warranted immediate resignation or expulsion from the party ranks.

Furthermore, Singh criticized the leadership following the party's poor performance in the urban local body elections across Bharatpur and Deeg districts. He held the state leadership and local district presidents accountable for the electoral losses, labeling the party's top brass as unresponsive to the ground realities. These repeated public attacks have prompted other party officials to retaliate, with some leaders characterizing Singh as acting in alignment with the opposition's interests.

In response to the escalating situation, PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra has adopted a measured approach. He stated that organizational decisions are not made based on social media discourse and that any potential disciplinary action would be handled by the appropriate committee. Dotasra emphasized the need for unity, dismissing the allegations as part of a broader misinformation campaign. Meanwhile, several party functionaries have openly criticized Singh, accusing him of working as a sleeper cell for the opposition to destabilize the party's internal harmony.
