Ranthambore National Park Gears Up for New Tourism Season with Rigorous Guide Evaluations

As the new tourism season approaches, the forest department in Sawai Madhopur has intensified its preparations to ensure that visitors to Ranthambore National Park receive a professional and well-organized experience. Following the completion of a comprehensive skill upgrade program, officials conducted formal interviews with nature and EDC guides this Tuesday to assess their readiness for the upcoming influx of wildlife enthusiasts.

Yadavendra Singh, president of the Nature Guide Association, noted that the two-day evaluation process was designed to test the practical knowledge of the guides. Forest officials engaged in detailed discussions covering the rich history of Ranthambore, its diverse wildlife, local flora, and the delicate ecological balance of the park. These sessions were intended to verify how effectively the guides had absorbed the training provided during the recent skill enhancement workshops.

Beyond testing technical knowledge, the interviews served as a platform for open dialogue regarding the daily operational challenges faced by guides in the field. Officials sought direct feedback and suggestions from the guides on how to streamline tourism management and improve the overall quality of service provided to guests. This collaborative approach aims to address practical hurdles before the peak season begins.

The evaluation panel featured senior forest leadership, including Chief Conservator of Forests Sharda Pratap Singh, Deputy Conservator of Forests Manas Singh, Deputy Conservator of Forests for Tourism Sanjeev Sharma, and Assistant Conservator of Forests Ravneesh Sharma. Their direct interaction with the guides underscored the department's commitment to maintaining high standards of wildlife interpretation and visitor safety.

In a separate development, the guide community held a general assembly at Durg Palace to discuss their collective concerns and professional requirements. During this meeting, the association members deliberated on various issues and formulated suggestions to enhance the efficiency of tourism operations. By aligning the expectations of the forest department with the practical insights of the guides, authorities hope to deliver a seamless and educational experience for all tourists visiting the park this season.
