Deeg Police Launch Massive Multi-Operation Crackdown, Netting 22 Criminals Across Districts

Deeg, Rajasthan. In a significant move to curb rising criminal activities, the Deeg district police have successfully apprehended 22 individuals involved in various illicit operations. Spearheaded by District Superintendent of Police Sharan Gopinath K., the police force launched a series of synchronized campaigns, including Operation Countdown, Operation Mule Hunter, Operation Shastra Vinash, and Operation Shikanja 2.0, to dismantle criminal networks operating within the region.

The most substantial success came in the fight against cybercrime, where 18 suspects were taken into custody. In a joint effort by the Kaman police and the District Special Team (DST), 12 individuals were arrested near the Barsana Road canal. These suspects were allegedly involved in diverse fraudulent activities, ranging from sextortion and fake hotel bookings to impersonating police officers. Authorities seized 12 mobile phones and several fraudulent SIM cards during the raid.

Further cyber-related arrests included two individuals apprehended by the Deeg Kotwali police near the railway station, and three suspects detained by the Gopalgarh police. Additionally, under the banner of Operation Mule Hunter, the Khoh police arrested a man identified as Munfaid, who was accused of laundering illicit funds through mule bank accounts. Investigations revealed that his accounts were linked to multiple complaints involving significant financial transactions.

The crackdown also targeted the proliferation of illegal firearms. Through Operation Shastra Vinash, police officers in the Brijnagar and Sikri areas arrested two men, Javed and Deepanshu Jatav, recovering a 12-bore country-made firearm and a 315-bore pistol, respectively. These arrests are part of a broader strategy to reduce violent crime by removing dangerous weapons from circulation.

Finally, under Operation Shikanja 2.0, law enforcement focused on long-standing wanted criminals. The Sikri police successfully detained 70-year-old Jamil, who was wanted under the Rajasthan Bovine Animal Act. Simultaneously, the Kaman police apprehended 56-year-old Kallu, a fugitive who had been evading a permanent arrest warrant related to a theft case dating back to 1998. Superintendent Sharan Gopinath K. has issued a stern warning, stating that the police will continue these intensive efforts until criminal networks are completely dismantled across the district.
