Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma Unveils Massive 993 Crore Development Package for Bharatpur Division

Bayana, Bharatpur. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced a significant development package worth 993 crore rupees for the Bharatpur division during a public gathering held at Bidyari in Bayana. The initiative encompasses 249 distinct development projects, featuring the inauguration of 65 major works valued at 453 crore rupees and the foundation stone laying for 184 new projects costing 540 crore rupees. Addressing the crowd, the Chief Minister asserted that the current administration prioritizes the timely execution of projects over mere announcements, aiming to bolster infrastructure, healthcare, education, and energy sectors across the region.

Highlighting his personal connection to the area, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of elevating Bayana’s historical and tourism potential to a national level. He noted that the government is actively working on major water agreements, including the ERCP and Yamuna water pacts, to resolve long-standing resource shortages. Furthermore, he highlighted the state's progress in energy self-reliance, noting a substantial increase in power production capacity over the last two and a half years, with a goal to provide uninterrupted electricity to all sectors by 2027.

The Chief Minister also addressed the state's employment landscape, reporting that 1.90 lakh government appointments have been made through 410 transparent, leak-free examinations. He added that recruitment processes for an additional 1.22 lakh positions are currently underway. Discussing governance reforms, he praised the implementation of the one-state-one-election model for local bodies, arguing that it prevents the stagnation of development work caused by frequent electoral cycles.

Specific infrastructure commitments made during the event include the construction of modern sports stadiums in Bayana and Braj Nagar, along with the establishment of new 33 KV sub-stations in areas such as Thanadang, Supa, and Mahalpur Chura. The package also covers significant road and bridge construction projects, including new connectivity for the UP border and essential water supply expansions in the Nadbai region. A major highlight is the 160 crore rupee trauma center and MCH hospital project in Bharatpur, aimed at upgrading regional medical facilities.

The distribution of the development budget across the division reflects a strategic focus on Bharatpur, Deeg, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, and Dholpur. Cabinet ministers and local representatives, including MLA Dr. Ritu Banawat and various regional leaders, were present to witness the launch of these initiatives, which the government describes as a cornerstone of its vision for a developed state by 2047.
