Police Intercept Commander Jeep Carrying 25 Cartons of Illicit Liquor in Sawai Madhopur

Sawai Madhopur. In a significant operation against the illegal liquor trade, the Malarna Dungar police station successfully intercepted a vehicle transporting a substantial quantity of illicit alcohol. Acting on intelligence gathered during an ongoing enforcement campaign, officers apprehended a suspect while he was attempting to transport the contraband through the region.

The accused, identified as Ramroop, a resident of Aibra Pila Har, was taken into custody after authorities discovered 25 cartons of various liquor brands hidden inside a Commander jeep. The vehicle, which was being used to facilitate the illegal distribution, has been impounded by the police as part of the ongoing investigation.

The seized inventory includes a diverse mix of alcoholic beverages, comprising 12 cartons of Nimbu Special country liquor, four cartons of plain country liquor, one carton of Conty Club Indian Made Foreign Liquor, two cartons of Royal Stag, and a total of six cartons of Kingfisher and Elephant beer cans. The sheer volume of the haul highlights the ongoing efforts of the local authorities to curb the unauthorized movement of spirits within the district.

Following the seizure, the police registered a formal case under the relevant sections of the Excise Act at the Malarna Dungar police station. The suspect is currently undergoing interrogation as investigators work to determine the source of the liquor and identify any potential accomplices involved in the smuggling network.
