New Karauli Council Chief Issues Stern Warning to Staff Over Public Service Standards

Karauli. The newly elected Chairman of the Karauli Municipal Council, Sunil Saini, assumed office on Thursday with a firm message for the local administration. During his inaugural address, Saini issued a direct warning to municipal officials and staff, insisting that the current operational standards must improve immediately. He cautioned that if the administration fails to address public grievances effectively, residents would be forced to protest directly at the homes of those responsible for the negligence.

Saini emphasized that municipal employees are public servants, not masters, and must treat every citizen with dignity. He stated that the era of indifference is over, and the focus must now shift to the needs of the people. According to the new chairman, the quality of service provided will directly dictate the level of respect employees receive from the public.

Addressing party workers, Saini declared that every member of the Congress party should feel empowered when entering the council office. He assured supporters that their concerns would be prioritized and that he would not tolerate any disrespect toward them by the staff. He encouraged workers to approach the council with confidence, promising that their dignity would be upheld under his leadership.

The chairman also criticized the previous administration, alleging that the past two and a half years were marked by political instability rather than development. He claimed that basic infrastructure and ward-level improvements were neglected during this period. Saini identified the city's deteriorating sanitation system as his immediate priority, announcing an urgent meeting with officials to implement corrective measures.

Following a ceremonial procession from the Congress office to the council building, Saini and Deputy Chairman Aminuddin Khan officially took charge after traditional prayers. The event was attended by Todabhim MLA Ghanshyam Mahar, former MLA Lakhan Singh Meena, and various local party officials. Saini concluded by inviting residents to report issues regarding water, electricity, and road conditions, pledging a proactive approach to resolving these long-standing civic challenges.
