Mahipal Singh Nimbada Elected President of Hockey Rajasthan in Karauli

Karauli. The state sports landscape saw a significant transition as Hockey Rajasthan successfully conducted its annual general meeting to elect a fresh executive committee. The proceedings, held at a hotel near Masalpur Chungi on National Highway 23, witnessed the participation of representatives from 29 recognized district hockey associations across the state.

Following a unanimous decision by the assembly, Mahipal Singh Nimbada was declared the new president of the organization. The election process was overseen by retired IAS officer Abhinandan, who served as the official observer and formally announced the results of the leadership vote.

The newly formed executive body includes Devendra Singh Shekhawat as the general secretary and Rashmi Shukla as the treasurer. The leadership team is further strengthened by three vice-presidents: Aarti Rani Singh, Malkit Singh Mann, and Madan Singh. Additionally, Abdul Rub Naqvi and Varsha Kumari Sharma were elected to serve as joint secretaries.

The committee also prioritized representation for the sporting community by appointing Arun Kumar Saraswat, Sampat Kothari, and Lokesh Kumar as executive members. To ensure the voices of athletes are heard, Rajesh Chaudhary and Kiran Meena were selected as representatives for high-performing players, while Chandransh Sharma and Maher Bano were appointed to represent the player committee.

In his inaugural address following the election, Nimbada expressed his commitment to fostering the growth of hockey across Rajasthan. The leadership team emphasized their collective goal of providing better training opportunities, enhancing infrastructure, and promoting competitive sporting activities to elevate the state's standing in the national hockey circuit.

The meeting was attended by several prominent figures, including former president Arun Kumar Saraswat and Hockey India representative Firoz Ansari. The event concluded with a pledge from the new office bearers to work transparently and diligently for the betterment of the sport and its practitioners throughout the region.
