Karauli Constable Among Four Booked Following Allegations of Land Encroachment and Vandalism

Karauli. A local land dispute in Karauli has taken a serious turn as a police constable and three other individuals have been booked for allegedly trespassing on private property and engaging in vandalism. The case, which centers on a plot of land located outside Ganesh Gate, has drawn significant attention due to the involvement of a law enforcement official currently posted at the local women's police station.

The complainant, Sardar Khatoon, approached the court after her initial attempts to seek justice through local police channels and municipal authorities reportedly went unheeded. According to the court-filed complaint, the incident occurred on April 22, when the accused allegedly entered the 80x65 foot plot, dismantled a traditional structure, and removed household items including furniture and kitchenware. The complainant claims the total loss from the destruction and missing property amounts to approximately 5 lakh rupees.

Khatoon asserts that the property in question has been under her legal ownership since a civil court ruling in her favor back in 1987. Following the alleged incident, she submitted formal complaints to the Kotwali police station, the Superintendent of Police, and the Municipal Council Commissioner throughout May. When these efforts failed to yield a criminal case, she petitioned the court, which subsequently ordered the police to register an official complaint on September 22.

The individuals named in the police report include Constable Rakesh Bainsla, Shiv Singh Gurjar, Mateen alias Laddu, and a female relative of a former resident. The allegations suggest that the group attempted to erect a wall on the site and threatened the complainant when she resisted their actions. The investigation into these claims has been assigned to Head Constable Satish Kumar.

As the investigation proceeds, authorities are tasked with verifying the property documents, the 1987 court order, and the specific actions taken by the accused on the day of the incident. The involvement of a serving police officer has added a layer of sensitivity to the case, with investigators expected to determine the exact role and conduct of the constable during the alleged encroachment. The police have stated that the veracity of the claims will be established only after a thorough and impartial inquiry is completed.
